UVM Health Advantage plans are insured and administered by MVP Health Care® (MVP). MVP will manage your membership and support you in accessing your benefits. You’ll receive all of your benefit information and claims from MVP.


Create Your Online Account or Sign In to your Member account at the MVP website. You’ll have convenient access to plan details like your claims history, deductibles, and limits. You’ll also be able to pay your monthly premium bill, get reminders of important preventive care visits, order new MVP Member ID cards, and more.

Here are answers to a few common questions you may have.

  • I don’t see a UVM Health Network provider – what does this mean for me?

    UVM Health Advantage members have access to MVP’s full regional network of 54,000 doctors and hospitals across New York State, Vermont, and in additional areas, which includes UVM Health Network providers. You can see the providers you choose in your community. Plan co-pays and cost shares apply.

  • Am I limited to only seeing UVM providers?
    Plan members have access to the full MVP regional network of more than 54,000 doctors and hospitals across New York State, Vermont, and in additional areas. You can choose from MVP’s extensive network of providers and hospitals – including UVM Health Network – with options for virtual care, worldwide emergency care and non-emergency or routine care from any Medicare-participating provider nationwide. So you can get the care when and where you need it.
  • I live in New York, why am I enrolled in a Vermont plan?
    UVM Health Advantage was inspired by what people across Vermont and northern New York told us they want in a Medicare plan. UVM Health Advantage plans are available in: New York –Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and St. Lawrence; Vermont – Addison, Bennington, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Rutland, Washington, Windham and Windsor.

MVP Health Care offers Medicare Advantage plans in the following counties: New York - Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, and St. Lawrence counties.

MVP Health Plan, Inc. is an HMO-POS/PPO organization with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in MVP Health Plan depends on contract renewal. Out-of-network/non-contracted providers are under no obligation to treat MVP Health Plan members, except in emergency situations. Please call our customer service number or see your Evidence of Coverage for more information, including the cost-sharing that applies to out-of-network services. For accommodations of persons with special needs at meetings, call 1-800-324-3899 (TTY 711). Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. Other physicians/providers are available in the MVP Health Care network.

MVP virtual care services through Gia are available at no cost-share for most members. In-person visits and referrals are subject to cost-share per plan.
